EMPOWER
COALITION
Our Mission: Working together to empower Martin County youth and families through education and collaboration to prevent substance misuse, support mental health, and promote overall wellness.
Our Vision: A community where all youth and families are empowered and supported to lead healthy, substance-free lives that nurture their overall well-being.

Founded in 2011
The Coalition was formed in 2011 when local nonprofit Services for Challenging Youth was awarded a grant from the MN Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. In 2016, the Coalition was awarded a Drug-Free Community grant and expanded to all of Martin County.
To gain multiple perspectives and seek opportunities for collaboration, we strive to include representation on our coalition from the following categories:
Youth, Parents, Grandparents, Schools, Youth-Serving Organizations, Law Enforcement, Businesses, Media, Local Government, Faith-Based Organizations, Civic & Volunteer Groups, Mental Health Professionals, Organizations Focused on Substance Use Prevention, and Other Organizations with Expertise in Substance Use.
MOST Martin County students ARE making healthy choices.
