Community
Education
We are committed to building a community that is educated, equipped, and empowered to support youth and families. Through events, outreach, training, and awareness campaigns, we provide opportunities for all community members to learn, engage, and take action to prevent substance misuse and support mental wellness.
Community Education Events
We host educational events open to the public, featuring expert speakers and impactful film screenings. These events address topics like mental health, substance use prevention, the impact of social media, and building resilience in youth and families. Each event includes time for Q&A, resources, and practical takeaways.
Changing the Narrative
Our Changing the Narrative training is designed to reshape the way we think and talk about important issues like mental health, suicide, and ageism. This powerful training helps participants recognize how language and storytelling influence attitudes, reduce stigma, and shape community responses. By exploring practical ways to shift the conversation, attendees leave feeling empowered to promote hope-filled, inclusive, and supportive narratives that truly make a difference.
Narcan Training
We offer free Narcan (naloxone) training sessions to educate the public on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. These hands-on trainings are open to anyone and are part of our commitment to reducing harm and saving lives in our community.
County Fair Booth
Come see us at the Martin County Fair! Our booth features interactive displays, educational resources, giveaways, and fun prevention activities for all ages. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about substance misuse prevention and community support efforts.
Responsible Beverage Server Training (RBST)
This training is designed for alcohol retailers, servers, and event staff to promote safe and responsible alcohol service. Participants learn about legal responsibilities, how to spot fake IDs, how to handle difficult situations, and techniques for refusing service when necessary.
Media & Marketing Campaigns
We use targeted media campaigns to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote prevention throughout the county. Our campaigns include billboards, bus wraps, posters, social media, and other creative outreach methods designed to engage and educate the public.
